Article 22: VIBES Erasmus+ Project Kick off meeting in Brussels

The kickoff meeting for our VIBES Erasmus+ Sport project (Virtual reality sports Interaction Between European Schools) (GA number: 101133143) was held in Brussels, between February 15 and 16, 2024, with the participation of all consortium partners.

This meeting brought together all consortium partners, providing a valuable platform for in-depth discussions on the strategic planning and coordination of forthcoming project activities. The agenda was enriched with engaging social activities, including an immersive Virtual Reality experience within the esteemed VR Box at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), which served as both a team-building exercise and an exploration of innovative VR applications in sports education.

📚 About VIBES:

VIBES is an innovative Erasmus+ Sport project that intends to train Physical Education (PE) teachers in the use and exploitation of Virtual reality (VR) technologies in PE classes and in the design of learning experiences using VR, so as to open up the potential of VR in schools for the promotion of physical activity and sports, increase the interest and motivation of pupils to engage with physical activity and sports inside and in out-of-school settings, thus reducing sedentary behaviours, while at the same time, contribute to PE teachers’, pupils’ and relevant stakeholders’ digital readiness and competency’.
