Article 26: VIBES project: local and international focus groups

The University of Central Lancashire Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus) and INQUIRIUM have successfully conducted three focus groups with physical education teachers, on the 24th of April, 2024, to hear their point of view about the integration of VR technology in PE class in schools. A total number of 13 teachers from the Pascal English School Nicosia, primary and secondary school, and the Pascal English School Larnaka, participated in the focus groups.

In addition, on the 20th and 21st of May, UCLan Cyprus and INQURIUM organised two focus groups with 18 ISCA members. The international online focus group, conducted with ISCA members, was composed of a diverse set of participants representing 13 different countries across Europe.

This analysis of the focus group data provided insights into the perceptions, experiences, and readiness of physical education teachers and experts, regarding the integration of VR technology into physical education. The results outline the significant trends, challenges, and potential opportunities that emerged from the data collected from PE teachers actively engaged in the field.
